Types of Basketball Passes
Shooting
- Flex at the knees.
- Keep weight on the balls of the feet in the forward stride position.
- Bend forward at the waist in a crouch.
- Keep the head up; don't look at the ball.
- Keep the wrist limp and cup the hand slightly.
- Dribble with the finger pads, not the palm.
- Never bounce the ball above the waist.
- Use the free hand arm and hand to protect against defenders while dribbling.

- Two-Handed Overhead Pass
- Two-Handed Bounce Pass
- One-Handed Bounce Pass
- Shoulder Pass
Shooting
- Feet shoulder width apart.
- Bend the knees.
- Square the body toward the basket.
- Place non-dominant on the side of the ball and place dominant hand behind on the ball on the laces.
- Cock the wrist and point the elbow towards the basket.
- Shoot at the top of the jump while focusing on the basket.
- Follow through in the direction of the basket and snap the wrist downward in the follow-through to develop backspin on the ball.
